November 2012 – Riding the Wave of Turbulence

The theme for November is TURBULENCE.

This is a month that will require you to pay attention, be present, and ride the big waves of life as you move forward in life. Turbulence can throw you off, up, down, and sideways. Although we will certainly have physical manifestations of this theme, much of the turbulence will be experienced as your own internal processes around your relationships, your choices, your decisions, what you believe to be true, and your perceptions of how things are.

It will be a testy time with conflict ready to insert itself if it sees an opening. Martyrdom is well at work, as throwing blame around becomes the name of the game. Addictions, energy leaks, bad behavior, judgment and violent reactions to situations out of your control can all surface if you are not careful, present, and paying attention with both hands on the wheel.

How do you manage emotional turbulence?

You navigate through it. If you stop and stand still, you will be tossed about like a boat without a rudder. The only way to successfully navigate is to keep moving forward while steering with both hands on the wheel. You cannot afford to get distracted or you will be turned upside down and land in the ditch. So keep your eyes open and on the road, know where you are going and don’t let yourself get distracted by the voices that tempt you towards petty dramas, arguing your point, being right, needing to know, blaming others and not speaking your truth.

We are in a great time of completion before the next cycle begins. Think about the things you really do not wish to drag like a ball and chain into the next cycle. The emotional turbulence you feel may be your own indecision, confusion, attachment and insecurity making it difficult for you to feel secure, balanced and on track.

Turbulence is a product of instability in the environment. At this time nothing is fixed and therefore everything is unstable causing emottional turbulence. The best tool you can have during turbulent times is your own resilience and flexibility. If you take your eyes off the road or one hand off the wheel and suddenly find yourself upside down in a ditch, get up, dust yourself off and keep going.
Revisit your expectations of yourself and others. Expectations will stop the flow of energy much like coming to a stop while in the middle of turbulence. Remove all expectations and take a look at the current landscape in which you are navigating. Be present with what is, not what you expect it to be. Be willing to change your mind, your plans, your views and your life.

This is an incredibly exciting time and there is great power and even exhilaration in navigating through emotional turbulence. This is not boring. If you find yourself bored, you are surely not on the right track.
We have 2 eclipses this month adding fuel to the fire and insuring that there is no turning back.
We must go forward and learn to ride the surfboard of our own intentionality if we are to ride the wave of life and of our future. The view is certainly better from the top than it is from underneath.
How the month shows up:

YOU PERSONALLY

Up, down and sideways. You may experience turbulence on the inside or it may be coming from the outside caused by some event out of your control. Remember that the only way to navigate turbulence is to navigate through it by staying present with what is and not getting distracted as you move forward. Personally this may take the form of a challenge in your life, a complicated choice to make, or simply a desire to move yourself ahead in a direction that supports who you are. Watch for signs along the way and helpers that show up. Watch for synchronicity when you are on the right track. Telling the truth will insure you move in the right direction.

This is a good month for completions. Contemplate the cycles you have had in your life and observe which ones may be coming to an end. Do what you need to do to feel complete. The distractions may take the form of your own fear and worry, other peoples fear, worry or judgment, or just simply your own chaos that keeps you unfocused. You may need to be a bit ruthless with yourself and with others. Don’t be afraid to cause a little more emotional turbulence as long as it is the result of your own truth and moving forward instead of an unnecessary drama.

RELATIONSHIPS

Lots of bickering is possible as relationships try for stability on new ground. The platforms that many relationships were built upon will be dissolving making room for a complete reboot. Communication is ultra important and will need presence and discipline and paying attention to details as Mercury is retrograde for most of the month. Don’t be afraid to speak your truth in relationship as part of the new platform. The emotional turbulence this month is felt in the uncertainty that many relationships will go through.
In the process of resolution, new ways of being in relationship will be tried. As community is also important this month, community groups may change the way they do things or at least open the door to new possibilities. If you are experiencing emotional turbulence in your close relationships, try really listening and connecting with the essence of what is present. Honor the truth and then respond with your own truth. This is an interesting month for relationships as there is a current focus on moving towards cooperation rather than competition…

I’ve Never Met An Ugly Witch

We are facing a most serious threat in the world.

The threat is the systematic control of an individual’s energy. There are many strategies being used to weaken us, to eliminate our will and vision. A key strategy is to instill fear in society in order to get people to give up their freedom. Another strategy is to taint our food and water and air with poisons. There is also the threat of legal drugs.

Life-depleting strategies against us often are not obvious unless we are on constant alert and open our minds. A shaman by the name of Stalking Wolf once said “I have never seen an ugly witch.”  What do you think this means?  There is profound wisdom in this saying.  It teaches that darkness tends to disguise itself as attractive.

Do you remember in Star Wars how Senator Palpatine in the beginning appeared to be well meaning and noble then later revealed his secret identity of a dark lord?  Evil disguises itself in many ways.  More recently darkness is disguising itself less and less.  It is up to us to open our minds to see.

Today, there are many leaders and organizations which feign to want to protect us.  Be aware that darkness uses deception as one of its main weapons.  We are being attacked on many different levels.  Yet, warriors of the light can choose to be awake.  Awareness is our ticket to freedom.  Do not fear challenges as they can help you sharpen your will and increase your life force.  Darkness can teach us to transcend our weaknesses and to become the powerful beings we are meant to be.

There is nothing more important than connecting with our inner power.  We are guided by a higher force that is always there for us.  This force is within us, not out there.  It protects us and guides us in infinite ways—from the most practical to the most abstract matters—when we open our hearts and minds to it.

Knowledge protects you.  Ignorance endangers.  Keep learning.

The Alchemist and the Sacredness of Following Your Dreams

The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho, is an inspirational fable about a Spanish shepherd, Santiago, who sets out on a quixotic quest to find a treasure at the Egyptian pyramids.  Along the way he learns various spiritual lessons.  The lessons he learns include the importance of paying attention to the signs in our life, and that it is our responsibility to follow our dreams, our inner vision, because that is how we become whole.

Our dreams are sacred and powerful, and we must do all that we can to follow our calling.  An Apache shaman once said, “A man not living his vision is living death.”  I believe this is true.  This quote may not be as poetic as the quotes in The Alchemist, but it is profoundly wise and has layers of meanings.

The shaman’s wisdom inspired me to create The Warrior Spirit –How To Use Hidden Mind Powers and Ancient Wisdom To Create Wealth and Much More! It teaches how we can conquer personal demons that keep us from realizing our life’s vision. In doing so, we become the alchemist, transforming our lead into gold, figuratively speaking.

The Warrior Spirit takes up where The Alchemist book left off.  It provides guidance on how to achieve your inspired dreams, and it empowers you at the core, at the spiritual level.

Today, I came across an inspiring article by Matthew Walsh about The Alchemist. Matthew, the founder of Spiritual Media Blog Newsletter, wrote about the upcoming movie based on The Alchemist and included great Alchemist quotes about the power of following our dreams.  May this article help to remind you of the sacredness of your dreams.  Below is an excerpt from his article:

* * *

In an interview, Paulo Coelho made these bold declaration about following your dreams:

“We who fight for our dream suffer far more when it doesn’t work out, because we cannot fall back on the old excuse: ‘Oh, well, I didn’t really want it anyway.’ We do want it and know that we have staked everything on it…

Then, we warriors of light must be prepared to have patience in difficult times and to know that the Universe is conspiring in our favor, even though we may not understand how…

When we first begin fighting for our dream, we have  no experience and make many mistakes. The secret of life, though, is to fall seven times and to get up eight times. So why is it so important to live our personal calling if we are only going to suffer more than other people? Because, once we have overcome the defeats–and we always do–we are filled by a greater sense of euphoria and confidence…

If you believe yourself worthy of the thing you fought so hard to get, then you become an instrument of God, you help the Soul of the World, and you understand why you are here.”

Are You Holding Yourself Back?

How do you know when something is holding you back?

When you think of your past, does it fill you with regret, blame, sadness, fear or any heavy emotion that weighs you down?  If the answer is yes, that’s a sign that you probably need to release what’s weighing you down.

Do you feel hopeless, doubtful or a general sense of tiredness when you think of your life?  If the answer is yes, it’s likely that you need to release what’s draining your energy.

To the extent that limiting beliefs, heavy emotions and old wounds weigh you down, you’re not free to move forward.  Heavy emotions, such as worry, jealousy and feeling offended, drain your energy and keep you stuck in the past.  You need plenty of energy to successfully create what you long for. That’s why you must free yourself from inner demons.

Sometimes just becoming aware of negative thoughts can be enough to defeat them. There will be times, however, when awareness alone will not defeat your inner demons.  That’s when releasing practices can help you.

Do You Know Your Energy Leaks?

Memories, people, events and ideas that deplete your energy are energy leaks.  They drain your life force.  More often, they rob you of energy in subtle ways over time.

If a close friend were to ask you what your energy leaks are, what would you say?  It comes back again to awareness.

To change your reality, you must know yourself intimately.  You need to know your strengths and weaknesses.  We all have energy leaks.  Some people have more than others, but we all need to work on ourselves.

Whether you need to let go of self-pity, regret, impatience or depression (to name a few), face each one, forgive and let go.  It does not empower you at all to rehash the past with judgment, regret or blame.  Take responsibility for your emotions and release those that weaken you.

What Will You Gain By Stopping Your Energy Leaks?

When you stop your energy leaks, you build up your energy and can alter your destiny.  You put yourself in a place of power by choosing strength over weakness.  It’s always up to you to choose what gives you strength.

By growing your inner power, you gain benefits on all levels.  Remember, the physical and spiritual worlds are interconnected.

As our energy increases, even in small degrees, we’re more likely to have insights, to see new possibilities, to feel stronger and experience more optimism.  We shift energetically, just as water changes when exposed to certain thoughts.

When that happens, we tend to increasingly draw resources and people into our lives that will help us.  Our probable future changes as we change our inner world.
